Yesterday:
all the students decorated the ICADS house with Balloons , Streamers, and turned all on the pictures upside down. (Did I mention that no one from ICADS knew?)
we all went to Castro's Bar and Danced like CRAZY.... I've come to the conclusion that if the man can LEAD the woman can DANCE!!!! wooooo!
we played scrabble in class- Tied for first....YESSsssssss
Caught the bus to San Jose from Curridabat with Cate at the perfect moment- we were planning on taxi-ing it and then we didn't have to.
presented about accidentes transitos- and then that nigt Kalada got in an accident b/c his taxista wasn't paying attention.... dumb.
Sang a song Limon and drank agua de saco. YUUUUUUMmmmmmmmm... no it's not alcoholic
walked past the cemetery which we never realized was there before as we went to the panaderia and bough this excellent pan ( bread) with thhis crem in it..... SOOOO gooood!
Sat in the the parque de cement and ate pan and charlamos ( chatted).
I helped cook dinner and learned that they don't have nearly as many cooking verbs as english speakers....confusing, because I was chopping broccoli and I wasnt sure If i was cutting it in small of pieces because the verb is cortar- to cut there isn't a verb to chop, not to mince, or slice... its all in the description that follows the verb. still hard to follow.
( most of these events are way out of order, with certain exceptions)
Today:
Cate and I got hailed by a taxi. ................... It was hilarious. He yelled Macha which means blond here... (or lesbian in Mexico)... and neither of us are blond, nor lesbian.... maybe he is colorblind and confused.
I forgot to buy post cards at the Auto Mercado.
I remembered to buy lots of insect repellent, crayons and blank paper for my journal!
forgot tape and water purification tablets... but when i got back to ICADS the had the Water puri drops fr us... YYEESSSsssssss

Said goodbye to Mamí Ligia & gave her and Vanessa their gifts.
got stepped on and now my toe nail is broken... bad news
Played charades students vs. professors...... we lost.
went home- packed- said Hasta Deciembre- taxi'd to ICADS
went to a 'fancy' Italian restaurant for la cena It was good...and yet exhausting.
WHAT I think... now.
I'm not- I'm just going with the flow. I was able to consolidate most of my stuff- turns out I packed WAY too much. Lesson Learned.
I'm am very ready to change location.
I don't like people who are negative all the time and end their sentences with, "I guess thats okay," It wears me down.
I've been here for a month and I still haven't gone to the beach. boo.
I have to get up at 4 tomorrow- you can tell I'm cranky.
