yep, here Iam.... Finally.
no I´m not dead.
Yeah... I´m muddy and wet- but I´m having fun.
the coolthing about Nicaragua is that it is the second most poor nation in Latin American... Second to Haiti....thats some serious poverty.
Well ... so much time has passed I don´t really know where to start.
I´m workin in the Colegio (school) I help in the english classes.... I also have the key to thelibrary... so I have a library hour three days a week. I want to have an English club,but I´ve only have one meeting and it was prett hard.... three people and it was lessthen productive, bu then again productive is in the eye of the beholder here...... My eyes are so american I have to try to change them to see life here clearly.... Its impossible to describe accurately because my words are english and life here, with the exception of the radio, corn flakes, and HBO plus- is pure Nicaraguan Spanish... yeah I´m learning .... but SLOWLY.... I´m like te dumb kid in class who keeps everyone else from progressing.....
I apologize if this sounds negative, I don´t mean for it to- its just that I can quite exlpain anything right in either language whether it is spanish or english...I´m actuall have a really great time...its just that thispast week has been especially challenging. My Grandmother in TX is dying and thatsdifficult... and irightnow is the point where culture shock hits...3 weeks in... I didn´t really go through it in Costa rica because I knew San Jose was over the moment I got there.. one month is such a short pd of time. two is aswell, but by the thrid week... i dunno. well my time is up here at the internet cafe... I´ll try to be more articulate next time!
