DAY ONE For-Real

Yesterday (Thursday) was like a practice run... Today (Friday) was our first full Day in Buenos Aires!

I don't know what to say exactly... I really like it here. A lot.

let me outline everything I/ We did today:

  • slept in
  • ate breakfast
  • walked to Julia's apartamento (yay! I got to see it!)
  • bought newspapers
  • went to the botanical garden and read
  • rode the Subte to the other side of town
  • visited the Oblisco and Monumento de La Republica
  • talked to a stanger named Javier... he's from Mar del Plata...
  • Bought a ham and cheese sandwich and apple juice
  • we got lost (sort of, not really but we walked in the wrong direction for a really long time)
  • went to the Ticket Edu. office and learned how to use our maps and guides better, reviewed our program, received our first homework ( read 60 pages... which really isn't that bad, except I'd rather be exploring)
  • went to coffee with Claudia
  • went to an art exhibit "Leyendo La Azotea" in the Centro Cultural de Borges
  • went to a Tango Festival
  • took the Subte back to Plaza Italia
  • Visited Plaza Italia & took pictures
  • went to an gym and inquired about membership and class fees
  • said ciao to Julia
  • walked home
  • ate dinner &
  • had a really great conversation w/ my host mom, Susana
  • talked to Andrew my bro on Skype & wrote in my journal
  • now I'm here and am going to bed!
Buenas Noches!

Y maƱana a bicycle tour! woo!!!
