This is a link to what I posted for Kali's Birthday last week. I realize not everyone has face book and realized this is a way people who do not have accounts can view the images posted in fcbk albums.
On the 12th I called my friend Carsten, to see if he would be willing to help me with a little project. I explained my crazy idea and he agreed to be my partner in crime... terrorizing the good people of Buenos Aires.
The pictures are pretty self explanatory; however, we got all dressed up, met at the Obelisco, and began a series of birthday photos. I just walked up to people, explained that my sisters birthday was the following day and that I was working on a surprise for her. Then asked if I could take their picture holding a sign that read, " Happy Birthday Kali! Buenos Aires Congratulates you!" except in Spanish.
Carsten found the x-rays in the trash some time before and thought they might be cool to use. The Images of the Obelisco and the tea light are all his brain child... it was fun having someone get excited about the same project and bring a whole other level of creativity to what I had proposed. Then after we'd finished up, we walked the city eyes open to inspiration, we wanted the photo series to be funny, but still maintain integrity. We even got the cops involved.
